Clam Chowder: comfort food!
There are a few different varieties of clam chowder that are popular. There is Rhode Island clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder, and the most well known of all, New England Clam Chowder. I dont know which of these is the easiest to prepare, but if I was looking to make the most authentic, I would definitely search for a new england clam chowder recipe. I love the thick rich texture of chowder. I think its the best kind of soup to make in the winter, because it is so hearty and filling and its really a kind of comfort food. I like to take some Italian loaf, and drizzle it with olive oil, pop it in the oven to toast it and serve it on the side.
