Windows 7 Cleaners

I’m thinking of upgrading to Windows 7 soon but I want to have everything I need first to make sure my computer runs smoothly and properly. Should I already be worried about the best scans and cleaners? Which is the best Windows 7 registry cleaner out there? Do I need a separate cleaner anyway or will the one I already have still work. Or maybe I can just get a simple upgrade to the software I already own? Any words of wisdom regarding Windows 7, effective registry cleaners for it or what I can do to keep my PC safe once I upgrade?
